Tongkat Ali

Tongkat Ali is a kind of wild shrub that grown in moist sandy soil of virgin tropical rainforest in equatorial Southeast Asia. Its maturation period is typically more than five years. In fact, Tongkat Ali root exhibits a wide range of benefits and it is regarded as one of the three Malaysia’s national treasures, alongside with edible bird’s nest and pewter. The entire plant of Tongkat Ali, especially the root, is considered as precious herbal treasure with its potent therapeutic value. Some studies have demonstrated that Tongkat Ali root, especially the core, contains an abundance of phytochemicals which plays a vital role in increasing the production of testosterone, a primary male sex hormone which is also essential for brain development.
